Welcome to the New Age of Volleyball in Nebraska

As Imagine Dragons might sing it, welcome to the new age, to the new age – of high school and youth volleyball in the great state of Nebraska.

Despite the immense popularity and the treasure trove of talent surrounding volleyball in Nebraska at the youth and high school levels, there simply wasn’t a good place to find equally exciting coverage of the sport. Until now.

With the birth of Nebraska HS Volleyball comes a new level of coverage and exposure for the great athletes in this state who play the world’s most exciting sport. This was born out of my own desire to have an information source which could feed my appetite for volleyball. As a former sports journalist, I have won numerous awards from the Nebraska Press Association, Minnesota Newspaper Association and ECM Publishers. I’m excited to bring my passion for the sport and talent for covering athletics to this endeavor

Beginning Sept. 3, we will release our class-by-class rankings. During the course of the year, we will also release our Super 25, which will be the top 25 volleyball players in the state by graduation year. We will also have several match stories, feature articles and columns which will keep the blog fresh and current. Beginning in November, we also will publish a monthly digital Nebraska HS Volleyball magazine which will be chalk-full of more information.

The website and magazine will be active all year, just as many volleyball players are. Once the high school season wraps up, we will head straight into the club volleyball season as well, providing 12 months of recruiting news, articles and feature stories – not to mention tons of photos.
