In an email sent out by Omaha-based Premier Volleyball this morning to the families of its players, it was announced that Premier will be taking over management of the facility beginning Dec. 15, 2014.
What that means for the present and future of fellow Omaha-based club River City Juniors, which operates in half of the facility – with Premier operating out of the other half – is not completely clear at this moment. We are working on getting more information.
Here is the message from Premier Volleyball to its families this morning:
Exciting News from Premier Volleyball
Premier Volleyball’s parent company RDW Holdings has purchased the lease rights to operate The Courts Volleyball Training Facility and will be assuming overall management of the facility, effective December 15, 2014.
What does this mean for all the different entities that utilize the facility?
Management goals are to maximize the court space and support areas to continue improving the training environment and opportunities for all entities that utilize the facility and equipment.
Operations will remain very similar to the way they have been handled for the past few years.
The doors between Courts I and Courts II will be reopened improving access to restrooms and open courts.
The parents room in Courts II will be closed and function as part of Fantasy’s Corporate office space.
The conference room in Courts I will be accessible by reservation.
Admissions and concessions will continue to operate the same.
Practice times will generally remain the same as previous years. Teams will no longer be restricted to one side of the facility or the other, depending on court availability.
Court space will continue to be utilized on both sides as required for tournament events.
We look forward to continuing to create a positive and safe environment for all that have the opportunity to experience events at The Courts!
