A pair of standouts have been named among the top 85 high school juniors in the nation by PrepVolleyball.com.
University of Nebraska recruit Sarah Allick of Lincoln North Star, a 6-foot-1 junior middle, and University of Southern California recruit Raegan LeGrand of Papillion-LaVista South, a 5-foot-10 junior libero, were named this week to PrepVolleyball.com’s list of the top players in the Class of 2016.
Allick is playing for Nebraska Juniors 18 Black this club season while LeGrand is playing for Nebraska Juniors 17 Black.
While PrepVolleyball.com releases the list, the list is compiled by a panel of college coaches and indicates those players the coaches feel posses the talent to make a deep impact at the college level.
Allick was selected as a top-50 player and one of the top 13 middles in the nation. She is joined in that group of 13 by fellow Husker recruit Lauren Stivrins, a 6-foot-3 junior from Scottsdale, AZ.
LeGrand was selected as a top-85 player and one of the top 13 liberos in the nation.
No other players from Nebraska were included on the list. However, two other Husker recruits made the top-50 list. Those players being 6-foot junior setter Hunter Atherton of Dublin, OH, and 6-foot-1 junior outside hitter Molly Taggerty of Wheaton, IL.
