The 6’0 Ferguson, who plays for Nebraska Juniors, has developed into one of the state’s most feared outside hitters as she amassed 461 kills last season, which included a pair of matches with more than 25. She’s also a basketball standout and getting college attention there as well.
“‘ve been fortunate to have several schools for both volleyball and basketball show interest,” Ferguson said. “I have made a few visits and I am planning on going to more throughout the spring and summer. I plan to make a decision mid to late summer.”
The interest in Ferguson in both sports has come from schools ranging all the way from Division I to NAIA. Regardless what sport she plays, Ferguson said she has a really good idea of what qualities she is looking for in a school and an athletic program.
“My top choices would be anywhere I can continue my athletic career with a good environment and where I can pursue my academic goals,” Ferguson said. “I don’t have any top choices as of right now but I’m looking forward to seeing more schools this spring and summer.”
