Sure, there is plenty of drama once you get to state as well, but this is for the opportunity to GET to state. The emotion and pressure that comes with each of the 40 matches on Saturday should be unmatched. Win and you will be making the trip to Lincoln for state later next week. Lose and your season is over. No more wild cards to hand out. No more games to play. It’s just over.
Kudos to the schools in Nebraska that have voted to make this day happen by changing the postseason format in the NSAA proposal process.
