Riley Buckley, a 5’11 setter/OH for North Raleigh Christian Academy in North Carolina was named the top freshman in the nation.
Two freshman from Nebraska were among the 14 finalists for the award.
Ava LeGrand helped lead Papillion-LaVista South to the Class A state tournament this fall by leading the traditional powerhouse with 274 kills, 22 ace serves, 33 total blocks, 200 digs and 16 assists.
Mya Larson led Wahoo to its second-straight Class C-1 state title this fall with a team-high 438 kills with a .370 hitting percentage. She also had 44 aces, 10 blocks, 392 digs and 12 assists.
A total of 10 other players from across the state earned a level of honorable mention from PrepVolleyball.com for their performance this past fall. Those players include:
