Leading up to the overall rankings, we are releasing the top players by position: middles, pin hitters, setters and back-row specialists.
Here is a look at the top 10 liberos and defensive specialists in the updated rankings. Please note, the ranking indicated below is just the ranking among the position. The overall rankings will be released later this week.
As a reminder, the player rankings are a projection of the kind of college career the athletes will or could have. While some players on this list may play different positions during the high school or club seasons, they project more as back-row specialist at the college level.
