Tayler Alden of Ocon with the set at Prep Dig Summer League.Oconomowoc definitely has the depth when it comes to all around athletes who can play various positions. Everything starts at the first contact where you have three Division 1 commits as defensive specialists in Caitlin Crawford (South Carolina), Tahya Pozorski (Jacksonville State), and Ashley Sharkus (Eastern Illinois). The second contact goes to the hands of Tayler Alden (Northern Iowa), the top setter in the state who is extremely offensive with a big left handed swing and physicality at the net. Their pins are Kaitlyn Bingham and Maleah Howe returning from last season, but other attackers such as Haley Koch and Lizzy Danelski who provide much added depth that will be able to create a competitive practice environment day in and day out.
Ships Set To Sail This Season
The play on words here is so tough to avoid. The Ships from Manitowoc Lincoln really had a monster of a summer with solid showings at the Prep Dig Summer League and Badger Team Camp. At the Prep Dig Summer League, they finished with an 11-1 overall record. This team will be experienced an incredibly balanced at all positions. They have asserted themselves as a favorite in the FRCC and will also be one to watch in their section where they are with Oconomowoc and Watertown.
Hartford Union at Prep Dig Summer League.Sleeper Teams To Watch
Hartford Union was young last year, but have found themselves much improved and more experienced heading into the 2019 season. They have a skilled backrow as well as attackers Martina McGrath and Riley Hamilton, a major standout as a Freshman last year. DSHA was not in the Gold Bracket, however they were the winners of the Silver Bracket over Hartford. The Dashers will always proved a solid team, fundamentally sound, and efficient squad that will be led by Senior Paige Drezek and a number of upcoming Juniors. Kettle Moraine will have a strong Senior class with Maddie Seidenburg, Hailey Grocholski, and Emma Braun. KM finished in the final four, with a loss to Ocon in the semifinals.

Brookfield East won a highly contested championship match over Nicolet by the scores of 27-29, 25-11, and 15-13. They will be much improved this season returning a solid amount of ball control as well as some incoming attackers. East Troy defeated Sheboygan North 25-19, 25-20 to win the Copper Bracket. East Troy is the defending Division 2 state champions and will still return All State right side Katie Winkler and setter, Emily Wendt.
