Knecht, who will continue competing on the court as she furthers her education, helped to pace Ryle throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, finishing the campaign with 150 kills, 26 blocks, 42 digs and 36 aces. Ryle concluded the 2019 season 21-16, finishing as the 33rd District runner-up and making an appearance in the 9th Region Volleyball Tournament.
An NCAA Division III member, Mount St. Joseph competes in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC). The HCAC is made up of Mount St. Joseph, Transylvania, Hanover, Earlham, Rose-Hulman, Defiance, Franklin, Bluffton, Anderson and Manchester. Mount St. Joseph ended the 2019 season 14-12. Currently, several former Kentucky high school volleyball standouts compete for teams in the HCAC.
