After capturing its third consecutive state championship, powerhouse remained on top in the poll. National powerhouse Assumption, which has captured 22 state titles, compiled a 36-7 record in the 2019 high school volleyball season.
Dominant Assumption received all 23 first-place votes in the poll.
Runner-up Mercy, Notre Dame, North Oldham and Greenwood round out the top five in the coaches poll. Along with Assumption and Mercy, Notre Dame and North Oldham reached the semifinals of the 2019 KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament.
Henry Clay, Sacred Heart, Male, St. Henry, McCracken County, Dunbar, Ryle, Tates Creek, Elizabethtown, Dixie Heights, Manual, Cooper, Owensboro Catholic, Highlands, West Jessamine, Breckinridge County, Lafayette, Holy Cross (Louisville), Rowan County and Central Hardin comprise the remainder of the poll.
