Trump, who is committed to the University of Notre Dame, helped to lead Ryle throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season.
Ryle finished as the 33rd District runner-up behind Cooper and lost to eventual champion Notre Dame in the opening round of the 9th Region Volleyball Tournament. However, Trump was named the Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association 9th Region Player of the Year.
During her sophomore season, Trump registered 435 kills, 24 blocks, 210 digs and 33 aces.
Head coach Tasha Tanner-Lovins guided Ryle to a 21-16 record and was named the KVCA 9th Region Coach of the Year.
In its 79th year, the NKAC sponsors either league play or conference tournaments in each varsity sport for boys and girls. The NKAC includes members Ryle, Villa Madonna, Simon Kenton, Beechwood, Silver Grove, Scott, Bellevue, Bishop Brossart, St. Henry, Ryle, Boone County, Calvary Christian, Notre Dame Academy, Newport Central Catholic, Campbell County, Conner, Newport, Ludlow, Cooper, Covington Catholic, Lloyd Memorial, Holy Cross, Dayton, Dixie Heights, Holmes, Highlands and Heritage.
Trump will be back to lead Ryle in the 2020 high school volleyball season. She will enter the 2020 season as one of the state’s top high school volleyball players.
