Part 1
Kate Bahrke – Oconto – Setter
Oconto had the ball control and attacking with the likes of Aubree Bucheger at libero and Green Bay commit, Cora Behnke on the outside, but in steps in a Freshman to run the show. Bahrke averaged over 7.5 assists per set with well over 700 on the season, being a key cog to the Blue Devils 33-5 season where they were regional champions and sectional runner-up. The Blue Devils will be bringing back a full squad of power in 2020.
Zoe Behrendt – Whitefish Bay
Whitefish Bay made a major statement this season with over 20 wins this season. Zoe Behrendt was a huge part of this success with over 300 kills and 200 digs. The all around player will be a key athlete for Milwaukee Sting 15 Gold this upcoming club season.
Saige DamrowSaige Damrow – Howards Grove
Damrow is one for one in her career for state titles, capturing the gold ball with Howards Grove this season. The Wisconsin Badger commit as a libero found herself in a new position this year as an outside hitter. Her all-around game and IQ is tough to top as she settle into the role hammering two kills a set, but also had 77 aces – nearly one ace per set and nearly 300 digs. The Tigers will be bringing back plenty of experience next year as they will look to defend their title.
Abbie Dix – Brodhead
Keep tabs on Brodhead the next few years with an athletic group of Freshmen with Abbie Dix being one of their main attackers. The Cardinals had over 30 wins this year while Dix averaged three kills per set while also having 80 total blocks. An all around athlete who can create positive touches for her team will be quite the duo with Brodhead setter, Alexis Kammerer.
Rylee Duessler – Waterloo
Duessler played a key role for Waterloo in their state tournament appearance this season. A Freshman who contributes in all six rotations with nearly two kills per set and over 200 digs this past year will be a key contributor as Waterloo returns the likes of Brooke Mosher and Joslin Wolff next year. Duessler will play club for Milwaukee Sting in 2020.
