Here are five Bravo 16 Black players to watch.
Kaylee Gifford: Among the standouts for South Warren during the 2019 high school volleyball season, Gifford recorded 277 digs, 51 assists and 46 aces in 82 sets. As a sophomore, Gifford excelled from her defensive specialist position.
Charli Hodges: As a sophomore middle hitter/outside hitter, Hodges delivered at the net for Bowling Green throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season. Hodges led Bowling Green in several games.
Ashley Marshall: As a sophomore middle hitter for East Robertson in neighboring Tennessee, Marshall was named All-District 8-A. Marshall enjoyed a solid prep campaign, building momentum for the upcoming club season.
Reese Payne: A sophomore from Jo Byrns in nearby Tennessee, Payne thrived throughout the 2019 high school season. She was named All-Region 5-A and to the All-District 9-A Tournament Team.
Maddie Rockrohr: Emerging as a leader, Rockrohr played in each of South Warren’s 36 games. Rockrohr, a sophomore outside hitter, led South Warren at the net, recording a team-high 286 kills while adding 14 digs.
