Mattingly, who is among the most underrated prep seniors in the state, helped to pace Meade County throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season. Meade County concluded the 2019 season 16-17 following an 11th District runner-up finish and an appearance in the 3rd Region Volleyball Tournament. Eventual champion Owensboro Catholic ended Meade County’s 2019 postseason run, defeating the Waves 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-13) in the opening round of the 3rd Region Volleyball Tournament.
Mattingly was strong from start to finish during her senior season with Meade County, recording 470 digs, 71 assists and 39 aces.
The productive Mattingly drew interest from several college volleyball programs.
Georgetown, which competes with Lindsey Wilson, Thomas More, Cumberland (Tenn.), Life, Cumberlands (Ky.), Campbellsville, Shawnee State and Pikeville in the Mid-South Conference (MSC), compiled a 19-13 record during the 2019 college volleyball season.
