McGill is a right-side hitter from North Oldham High School. Thacker is a libero/defensive specialist from Madison Central High School. The two longtime leaders are the first varsity commitments for the Campbellsville University volleyball program’s latest recruiting class
McGill (5-10) finished her career at North Oldham with 520 kills, 205 blocks and 135 digs. With McGill helping to lead the way, North Oldham won the 8th Region title before falling to Mercy in five sets in the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament Semifinals. McGill was named to the 2019 All-KHSAA State Tournament Team.
Thriving for Madison Central, Thacker (5-4) was a three-time All-District and All-Region honoree. She recorded over 1,000 assists during her prep career and earned numerous honors.
Campbellsville is a member of the Mid-South Conference (MSC), along with Lindsey Wilson, Thomas More, Georgetown, Cumberland (Tenn.), Life, Cumberlands (Ky.), Shawnee State and Pikeville.
