No. 3 Stanford swept No. 4 Wisconsin to win its second consecutive national title, third in four seasons and ninth in program history. The Cardinal swept the Badgers 3-0, winning 25-16, 25-17, 25-20. The victory allowed Stanford to repeat as national champion for the first time since 1996-97.
Hentz, a senior libero, recorded 17 digs for Stanford in the championship-clinching victory.
Prior to competing in the national title match, Hentz was named the PAC 12 Libero of the Year for the third time in her career.
Multiple former NKYVC players excelled throughout the 2019 college volleyball season.
Rachel McDonald, another former NKYVC player, dominated for SIU-Edwardsville and was named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference Second Team. McDonald finished the 2019 season with 9 OVC double-doubles, 162 kills and 170 digs.
Hannah Talkers thrived for Transylvania University, registering 3,943 career assists, which is a program record. Talkers also excelled for NKYVC prior to college.
