Crush Volleyball Club fields teams of 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s, 16s, 17s and 18s. The squads are made up of players from Northern Kentucky, including several talented 17s.
Through a partnership with Griffin Elite Sports, Crush Volleyball Club has five full-sized courts to use for practices, clinics and private lessons.
Northern Kentucky isn’t short of volleyball club, teams and players, 17-year-olds included.
The Crush Volleyball Club 17s are preparing to compete in Indianapolis during the upcoming weekend. The squad will face several veteran teams during the upcoming tournament. The Crush Volleyball Club 17s’ schedule for the 2020 season is as follows: Jan. 25-26 – Central Zone Invitational (Indianapolis); Feb. 15-16 – Presidents Day Cup (Indianapolis); March 7-8: Circle City Challenge (Indianapolis); March 20-22: MEQ (Indianapolis); April 25-26: Asics Challenge (Northern Kentucky); May 16-17: Mid South Mayhem (Nashville).
Here are five Crush Volleyball Club 17s to watch.
Katie Hammerle: A 5-7 junior outside hitter from Covington Latin High School, Hammerle has excelled throughout her high school career. Hammerle is a leader for the Covington Latin, which competes in the 35th District and 9th Region.
Christianna Murray: A 5-9 junior from Scott High School, Murray has the ability to play multiple positions. The versatile Murray delivered for Scott High School during the 2019 prep season and is expected to take on a larger role later in the year.
Zoey Mitchell: A 5-6 junior setter from Scott High School, Mitchell is another key performer for the Eagles. Mitchell emerged as a consistent contributor for Scott early in her high school career.
Lily Schneider: A 5-10 sophomore outside hitter from Beechwood High School, Schneider will have an opportunity to deliver at the net for her club team in the 2020 season. And Schneider isn’t the only student-athlete from Beechwood on the Crush Volleyball Club 17s roster.
Brooke Stiles: A 5-6 sophomore defensive specialist/outside hitter from Beechwood High School, Stiles has the ability to contribute from multiple positions. Stiles fares well both defensively and offensively.
