A productive team, Lexington United 66 Adidas won the Central Zone Invitational Premier Division, compiling a 7-1 overall record. One of the toughest divisions at the Central Zone Invitational, 16 Premier featured 32 teams from various states.
Four different Lexington United teams notched top-five finishes during the event in Indianapolis. In all, 18 different Lexington United squads competed at the Central Zone Invitational. Seven different teams from Lexington United posted Top 10 finishes in the early-season tournament.
Lexington United’s 13 Baden, 16 Baden and 44 Adidas each placed fifth. Both 13 Baden and 14 Baden finished 5-1 while 44 Adidas amassed a 4-2 overall record.

The Lexington United Midwest teams competed in Knoxville, Tenn., over the weekend. Leading the Lexington United Midwest teams in Tennessee, 12 Black, 14 Black, 15 Black and 17 Black registered gold runner-up finishes. Lexington United Midwest teams 22 Black, 43 Black and 76 Black each placed third in neighboring Tennessee.
It’s been a busy week for players from numerous Lexington United teams. Lexington United squads resumed practices at the start of the week.
A pair of 18s from Lexington United, Jessica McClain (Midway University) and Brook Palmer (Centre College), announced college commitments earlier in the week, joining a group of alumni that have moved on to the next level.
Many Lexington United squads will resume competition in the Mideast Power League (MEPL) on Saturday, Feb. 1. Representing Lexington United Volleyball in the MEPL, 13 Adidas, 13 Baden, 14 Adidas, 14 Baden, 15 Adidas, 15 Baden, 16 Adidas, 17 Adidas, 18 Adidas, 18 Baden, 44 Adidas, 66 Adidas and 87 Adidas are poised to return to the court during the upcoming weekend. The MEPL features club volleyball teams from Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee. Players ranging in ages from 13-18 are set to compete in the MEPL again.
