Senior Season: 144 Kills, 24 Blocks, 51 Digs
Belleuve East Head Coach Courtney Smeby: Nicole has represented herself as the type of player that is a pleasure to have and is a pivotal part of any team. In her four years as a varsity volleyball player, she has made an impact in each match. This just shows how dedicated she is to bettering herself as a player. Nicole has always treated her teammates, coaches, and support staff with the highest degree of respect. As a two-year varsity team captain, her commitment to the team is second to none. Nicole was one of our best “team players” this past season. After three years as an OH, Nicole was more than willing to adjust as a newfound RS player and was extremely committed to embracing this new role to help our team succeed this season. Nicole is a steady all-around player, and her greatest strength is her court vision. Her ball placement is solid. She understands the necessary demands of a higher-level volleyball player and the commitment level required. I think she has what it takes to play at the next level!
Nicole on Nicole: I want to continue my volleyball career in college because ever since I was little volleyball has been a passion of mine. Competing at the next level would allow me to push myself more and become a better player. For my team, I would provide strong leadership and set a great example for everyone. I will also show dedication and commitment to my team. I will encourage everyone to be the best they can and push them to get where they want to be.
Nicole on playing in college: I am most excited to meet new people and have a different environment when thinking about playing in college. I will get a fresh point of view from different coaches that will be able to help me become a better player. I am also excited to learn new things. I can’t wait to try different things and push myself outside the box.
College Aspirations: Further her volleyball career at an NAIA school in Nebraska and study Nursing.
Volleyball Awards: All-state honorable mention, AVCA All-Academic State team award, All-Class Honorable Mention
About Nicole: Nicole is the daughter of Tim and Bonnie Binder. Tim played baseball at Bellevue University. She has one older brother, Nick (22). This winter Nicole is coaching club volleyball for Top Flight.

FAYE JACOBSEN | Class C1 Louisville | 6’1” Middle
Senior Season: 3.6 kills/set, 290 kills on .456 hitting percentage, 32 Blocks, 3.8 digs/set, 309 digs, 93.6% serving. #1 hitting percentage in all of Nebraska, All-Class!!
Louisville Head Coach Megan Barnes: Faye was a 6-rotation player for us. Faye was a successful middle because she demanded balls from the setter and our setter had a lot of confidence in her to get a kill. She improved her spacing and vision as an attacker so she could hit around the block and find the open court. Faye was also a strong blocker for us. She did a good job of reading the setter and staying balanced in the middle. Faye was also an exceptional teammate. She often shared her advice with underclassmen to help them improve their game and volleyball IQ. She would be a great addition to a college volleyball program because of her strong work ethic and commitment to her team.
Premier 18’s Black Club Coach Heidi Oetken: Practices are in full swing and I can see a ton of potential in Faye. She’s a great athlete who is also playing basketball right now – so we’re fighting for practice time. We run a somewhat fast offense so I know this is a little bit of a learning curve, but she is SO coachable and is willing to try anything. I’ve had her training in the middle hitter position as well as some on the right side. We’ll see as the season progresses where she’ll fit in the best!
Faye on playing in college: I enjoy playing with the team and developing friendships with the people I play with.
College Aspirations: Study Business and further her volleyball career at a DII, DIII, NAIA, or junior college in Nebraska or beyond the borders.
Athletic Awards:
Volleyball: Honorable Mention All-State, First-Team All-Conference

About Faye: Faye is the daughter of Duane and Dawn Jacobsen. Her siblings are Grace and Carl. She also participates in basketball and track. This winter she is playing for Premier 18’s Black. This is the first year Faye has played club volleyball.
