One of the state’s most talented prep volleyball players, Shadwick is headed to the Ivy League. Attending Cornell will allow Shadwick to continue her education at one of the nation’s leading universities.
Shadwick is a longtime leader for her high school and club squads. As a junior, Shadwick helped to lead Henry Clay throughout the 2019 prep season. In 2019, Henry Clay won the 42nd District championship, captured the 11th Region title and reached the second round of the KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament. With Shadwick delivering in multiple categories, Henry Clay compiled a 26-16 overall record in 2019.
Shadwick is preparing to compete for Lexington United in the 2020 club season. The upcoming club campaign will allow Shadwick to compete against several other college recruits.
The Henry Clay/Lexington United middle hitter will enter her senior season as one of the state’s top returning high school volleyball players.
Colgate competes with Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn and Princeton in the tradition-rich Ivy League.
