Here are 10 15-year-old middle hitters to watch.
Meredith Brown: A 6-4 freshman middle hitter, Brown is a student-athlete from 2019 KHSAA State Runner-up Mercy Academy in Louisville. The lone freshman on state powerhouse Mercy Academy’s roster in 2019, Brown is competing for Union Asics 15-1.
Nya Bunton: A 6-4 freshman middle hitter, Bunton is a student-athlete from DuPont Manual High School in Louisville. A key young player for DuPont Manual who excels at the net, Bunton is competing for KIVA 15 Red.
Gabrielle Gerry: A 6-5 freshman middle hitter, Gerry is a student-athlete from 2019 KHSAA State Champion Assumption High School in Louisville. Looking to work her way on to the floor for Assumption in the 2019 season, Gerry is competing for KIVA 16 Red.
Brooke Hager: A 6-2 freshman middle hitter, Hager is a student-athlete from 12th Region Champion West Jessamine High School. As a freshman for her high school team, Hager registered 257 kills and 119 blocks. Hager is competing for Lexington United 16 Adidas.
Calah Jackson: A 6-2 sophomore middle hitter/outside hitter, Jackson is a student-athlete from Covington Latin High School. One of the top young volleyball players in Northern Kentucky, Jackson is competing for NKYVC 16-1 Tsunami.
Alayna Johnson: A 5-10 freshman middle hitter/opposite hitter, Johnson is a student-athlete from Ballard High School in Louisville. Among the most improved young volleyball players in Louisville, Johnson is competing for KIVA 15 Black.
Hailey Little: A freshman middle hitter from perennial 15th Region title contender Paintsville High School, Little thrived throughout 2019. During the 2019 high school season, Little recorded a team-high 440 kills. Little is competing for East Kentucky Volleyball Academy.
Holland Morris: A six foot freshman middle hitter/outside hitter, Morris is a student-athlete from Cooper High School in Union. Looking to enjoy a breakout season in high school as a sophomore later in the year, Morris is competing for NKYVC 15-1 Tide.
Sydney Nolan: A 6-1 1/2 freshman middle hitter, Nolan is a student-athlete from reigning 9th Region champion Notre Dame Academy. After contributing for Notre Dame Academy in over a dozen matches as a freshman, Nolan is competing for NKYVC 15-1 Tsunami.
Vivian RoBards: A 5-10 middle hitter/opposite hitter, RoBards is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville. A versatile player who excels as a hitter, RoBards is competing for Union Asics 15-1.
