Here are 10 freshmen on the rise.
Natalie Boggs: A 5-4 freshman libero/defensive specialist, Boggs is a student-athlete from Bryan Station High School in Lexington. Among the most improved young defensive players in Lexington, Boggs is competing for Lexington United 15 National.
Mackenzie Borne: A 5-9 freshman outside hitter/right side hitter, Borne is a student-athlete from Cooper High School in Union. After making the varsity team at her high school in 2019, Borne is competing for NKYVC 15-2 Tide.
T.K. Ellis: A freshman setter/defensive specialist, Ellis is a student-athlete from Lawrence County High School in Louisa. After contributing for her prep team as a freshman in 2019, Ellis is competing for Bluegrass Volleyball Academy of Eastern Kentucky.
Gabby Ferris: A 5-8 freshman libero, Ferris is a student-athlete from St. Henry High School in Erlanger. Looking to push for a spot on the varsity roster at her high school later in the year, Ferris is competing for NKYVC 15-2 Tide.
Olivia Miller: A 5-6 defensive specialist, Miller is a student-athlete from Kentucky Country Day School in Louisville. In 20 varsity matches during the 2019 high school season, Miller recorded 118 digs and 18 service aces. Miller is competing for Union Asics 15-3.
Molly Morton: A 5-8 freshman defensive specialist, Morton is a student-athlete from Bowling Green High School. A contributor for her high school team as a freshman, Morton is competing for SKEVA 15 Orange.
Addison Putt: A 5-11 freshman opposite hitter, Putt is a student-athlete from Assumption High School in Louisville. Possessing the ability to deliver at the net, Putt is competing for KIVA 15 Black.
Lauren Varga: A 5-6 defensive specialist, Varga is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy in Louisville. Looking to make her high school team’s varsity roster later in the year, Varga is competing for KIVA 15 White.
Molly Kate Walker: A 5-11 freshman middle hitter/opposite hitter, Walker is another student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy. Both Varga and Walker have performed well on the freshmen and junior varsity levels. Walker is competing for KIVA 15 White.
Ellie Wilson: A 5-8 freshman outside hitter/opposite hitter, Wilson is a student-athlete from North Oldham High School in Goshen. Part of a state high school powerhouse program and looking to make an impact as a varsity player early in her prep career, Wilson is competing for Union Asics 15-3.
