Below, get to know some of the versatile Nebraska Elite players that demonstrated their successful transition this weekend.
Josie Richards – MH – 2021 – Nebraska Elite 172 Titans
Josie is a great athlete who has previously played setter and right side for her high school and club teams. This club season she transitioned to middle hitter without missing a beat. She is very long and closes the block well.
Allie Petry – Libero – 2021 – Nebraska Elite 171 Apex
Allie is very athletic and has previously played as an outside hitter for club and at St. Albert Catholic High School in Council Bluffs. Allie hustles all over the court and uses her athleticism to make spectacular plays in the back row.
Grace Moody – Right side – 2021 – Nebraska Elite 172 Titans
Grace had previously played middle hitter but made the transition to right side this club season. Grace is a very smart player who sees the court well. She has a quick arm that has served her well playing on the right side.
Layne Whaley – Libero – 2021 Nebraska Elite 172 Titans
Layne has always been a great passer but she previously played as an outside hitter. This is her first time playing as a libero and she has proved more than up to the task. Layne moves well and has a great platform.
