The current club campaign is featuring numerous talented opposite hitters, some of whom are making names for themselves and building momentum heading into the 2020 high school volleyball season.
Here are six opposite hitters to watch.
Grace Brooker: A 6-3 sophomore opposite hitter, Brooker is a student-athlete from Great Crossing High School in Georgetown. One of the most underrated young high school volleyball players in the state, Brooker contributed for her prep squad throughout the 2019 season. Brooker is competing for Lexington United 16 Adidas.
Trinity Edison: A 5-9 freshman opposite hitter, Edison is a student-athlete from Central High School in Louisville. Edison is expected to emerge as a leader for her prep team during the 2020 high school volleyball season. For now, Edison is competing for Union Asics 15-1.
Rachel Faith: A six foot sophomore opposite hitter, Faith is a student-athlete from Assumption High School, which is located in Louisville and home to the state’s top prep volleyball program. With an ability to deliver at the net, Faith will be looking to make an impact for her high school team later in the year. Currently, Faith is competing for KIVA 16 Red.
Macy Graves: A 5-9 junior opposite hitter, Graves is a student-athlete from Male High School in Louisville. Heading into her senior season, Graves is building momentum through a successful club campaign. Graves is competing for Union Asics 17-1.
Peyton Mast: A 5-11 opposite hitter/middle hitter, Mast is a freshman from reigning 9th Region champion Notre Dame Academy in Park Hills. A versatile performer, Mast is among the top young players in the Notre Dame volleyball program. Mast is competing for NKYVC 15-1 Tsunami.
Emily Ready: A 6-1 junior opposite hitter/middle hitter, Ready is another student-athlete from back-to-back-back state champion Assumption High School. A veteran player, Ready contributed during Assumption’s latest state title run. Ready is competing for KIVA 17-1.
