Here are six Louisville eighth grade opposite hitters to watch.
Camila Adams: A 5-8 eighth grade opposite hitter/defensive specialist, Adams is a student-athlete from St. John Paul II School. Showing the ability to thrive offensively and defensively, Adams is a versatile young volleyball player. Adams is competing for Union Asics 14-1 in the 2020 club volleyball season.
Brooke Bowling: A 5-9 eighth grade opposite hitter, Bowling is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity Parish School. Able to deliver at the net as a stout hitter, Bowling finishes strong and possesses solid blocking skills. Bowling is competing for KIVA 14 Black.
Julianna Howell: A 5-8 eighth grade opposite hitter/outside hitter, Howell is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Model School. Emerging as a strong hitter, Howell is building momentum for her freshman season later in the year. Howell is competing for KIVA 14 White.
Ava Hubbs: A 5-8 outside hitter/opposite hitter, Hubbs is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity Parish School. Comfortable hitting from either side and a proven performer, Hubbs continues to fare well just months away from starting her high school volleyball career. Hubbs is competing for KIVA 14 White.
Madelynn Newman: A 5-9 middle hitter/opposite hitter, Newman is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity Parish School. Thriving as a hitter, Newman continues to excel offensively early while covering the floor well and hitting hard in her young volleyball career. Newman is competing for KIVA 14 White.
Makenzie Wagner: A 5-7 eighth grade setter/opposite hitter, Wagner is a student-athlete from Saint Mary Academy. Emerging as a versatile and consistent setter and opposite hitter, Wagner is among the most underrated eighth grade volleyball players in Louisville. Wagner is competing for Union Asics 14-1.
