Katie Egenolf Katie Egenolf 6'1" | OH Center Grove | 2022 State #108 Nation IN , outside hitter/right side hitter, Circle City 16 Purple (16-1), Center Grove High School
Sky Moffitt Sky Moffitt 6'2" | MB Lafayette Jefferson | 2022 State IN , middle hitter, Circle City 16 Purple (16-1), Lafayette Jefferson High School
These two are two peas in a pod for Circle City’s club director and 16 Purple coach, Scott McQueen. Both are high-flyers and were major catalysts in their multiple tournament victories already this club season. Katie can attack and defend on both pins and can attack from the back if needed. Sky goes over, around and sometimes through her competition in the middle. Her lateral quickness complements her quick twitch to get up before the middle across from her even knew she jumped.
Emily Weber Emily Weber 6'0" | S Hamilton Southeastern | 2022 State #139 Nation IN , setter, Academy 17 Tsunami (17-1), Hamilton Southeastern High School
The best team at Academy is their Tsunami, coached by Corky Robertson. The setter of that team is Emily, and is getting better with each tournament. Her knowledge of who should get the ball at what tempo has evolved since I first saw this kid a year and a half ago, and playing up a year (she’s only a sophomore) is not phasing her in the least. It helps that her M1 is Raven Colvin Raven Colvin 6'0" | MB Heritage Christian | 2021 State IN (Purdue) and her RS is Grace Boggess Grace Boggess 6'3" | MB Center Grove | 2021 State IN (Butler), but to get everyone involved is her specialty. Defensively, she is shockingly good for someone her height.
Emma Halter Emma Halter 5'5" | DS/L Roncalli | 2022 State #60 Nation IN , defensive specialist, Team Indiana 16 Elite (16-1), Roncalli High School
For what it’s worth, this is the best pure passer and defender in this class from the state of Indiana. She has run the show at Roncalli since her arrival in 2018 as a freshman, and is far and away the most reliable DS/libero in Central Indiana. I am surprised that she is still available, but have no fear….she is playing at both the MEQ in Indy in March and the Northern Lights Qualifier in Minneapolis in April.
Estella Kleffman Estella Kleffman 5'9" | OH Trinity Lutheran | 2022 State IN , outside hitter/defensive specialist, Union 16 Asics (16-1), Trinity Lutheran High School
For the record, I LOVE this kid. She can DS if you need her to, she can put away anything you throw up at her, and she’s relentless. Although Union is a predominantly JVA-sanctioned club, they are playing in three USAV qualifiers, not to mention the Pioneer Region bid tournament, to qualify for USAVs in Dallas in the summer. Watch out for this kid, the cog in Union 16 Asics.
