Here are five underrated 7th Region seniors-to-be.
Brielle Boudreau: A junior opposite, Brielle Boudreau is a student-athlete from Assumption High School. Boudreau competed for Union Asics 17-1 earlier in the year during the 2020 club volleyball season. After seeing limited action in the 2019 high school volleyball season, Boudreau is expected to make a larger impact for state powerhouse Assumption during the upcoming prep volleyball campaign. Boudreau is a productive hitter from the right side and produces when acting as a backup setter.
Elizabeth Clay: A junior middle hitter, Clay is a student-athlete from Eastern High School. Clay competed for KIVA 16/17 White during the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year. Poised to finish strong for Eastern as a senior in the 2020 high school volleyball season, Clay thrives when reading opponents to set up blocks and blocking shots herself. Providing a stout presence at the net, Clay uses quick attacks on offense regularly.
Miranda Jantzen: A junior opposite/outside hitter, Jantzen is another student-athlete from Assumption High School. Jantzen contributed during the Rockets’ latest state championship run and will be pushing for more playing time in the 2020 high school volleyball season. Earlier in the year, during the 2020 club volleyball season, Jantzen competed for KIVA 17 White. Versatile and able to hit consistently from either side, Jantzen works well in tandem on blocks and reads opposing defenses and calls out hitters consistently.
Emmeri Roberts: A junior outside hitter/middle hitter, Roberts is a student-athlete from DuPont Manual High School. Roberts fared well throughout the abbreviated 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year, contributing for KIVA 17 White. Agile and versatile up front, Roberts thrives at the net regardless of the position she’s playing. Roberts blocks and digs consistently while also excelling as an attacker when receiving a set.
Kate Whittle: A junior defensive specialist, Whittle is a student-athlete from Sacred Heart Academy. Whittle remains underrated despite having already committed to Berry College. During the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year, Whittle competed for KIVA 16/17 White. Productive, Whittle digs and pursues efficiently while delivering as a solid back row hitter.
