Here are five underrated Eastern Kentucky seniors-to-be.
Lauren Horn: A junior outside hitter/middle hitter, Horn is a student-athlete from Martin County High School. An exceptional hitter, Horn logged 137 kills, 63 blocks and 49 digs during the 2019 prep volleyball season. Horn, who is among the top players in the 15th Region but still remains underrated, provides a strong presence at the net, excelling as a blocker.
Adryona Salyers: A junior defensive specialist, Salyers is a student-athlete from Breathitt County High School. Salyers thrived for her high school team in 2019, registering 322 digs and 121 service aces. Among the top volleyball players in the 14th Region, Salyers remains underrated. A precise passer, Salyers is both consistent and tenacious. Athletic, Salyers is a solid communicator.
Elizabeth Stokes: A junior defensive specialist/right side hitter, Stokes is a student-athlete from Wolfe County High School. Contributing for Wolfe County throughout the 2019 high school volleyball season, Stokes logged 157 kills, 55 blocks, 115 digs and 89 service aces in 34 matches. A proven passer, Stokes excels defensively and offensively. Stokes is a strong server and communicates well.
Jada Slone: A junior outside hitter/defensive specialist, Slone is a student-athlete from Prestonsburg High School. Slone was among the leaders for Prestonsburg during the 2019 prep season, registering 151 kills, 173 digs and 52 service aces in 25 matches. Slone has shown the ability to deliver both offensively and defensively. A productive hitter from the left side, Slone is an athletic player who thrives both blocking and passing.
Jerrika Williams: A junior defensive specialist, Williams is a student-athlete from Letcher County Central High School. Emerging as a leader for Letcher County Central in 2019, Williams delivered throughout her latest prep campaign. While working as a defensive specialist, Williams recorded 202 digs in 25 matches during her junior season. Williams, who reads blocks well and uses her quickness, contributes as a high level passer.
