Here are five underrated Louisville freshmen-to-be.
Cate Cole: A 5-10 eighth grade outside hitter, Cole is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity School. Cole competed for KIVA 14 Red during the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year. Able to elevate consistently, Cole reads opposing defenses well and has proven that she can excel as a blocker. A go-to hitter, Cole produces in both the front and back rows and continues to grow.
Emma Closurdo: A 5-8 eighth grade outside hitter, Closurdo is a student-athlete from Saint Mary Academy. Closurdo competed for Union Asics 14-1 during the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year. Emerging as a strong hitter, Closurdo uses her leaping ability to deliver at the net. Closurdo is a reliable passer and also possesses quality back row skills.
Raegan Glover: A 5-11 eighth grade middle hitter, Glover is a student-athlete from Christian Academy-Louisville. During the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year, Glover competed for KIVA 14 Black. A player who continues to improve, Glover uses quick attacks on offense regularly and is a productive blocker who works well with other hitters.
Ava Hubbs: A 5-8 eighth grade outside hitter/opposite, Hubbs is a student-athlete from Holy Trinity School. Earlier in the year, during the 2020 club volleyball season, Hubbs competed for KIVA 14 White. A versatile eighth grader, Hubbs is a strong hitter from either side and passes consistently. Hubbs boasts good jumping ability and continues to excel in serve receive.
Hailee Mack: A 5-4 eighth grade defensive specialist, Mack is a student-athlete from Saint Mary Academy. Mack competed for KIVA 14 Red during the 2020 club volleyball season earlier in the year. With quick reactions, Mack digs and pursues consistently. A defensive standout, Mack is a skilled hitter as well.
