District 2 (Community Christian (Paducah), McCracken County, Paducah Tilghman, St. Mary),
District 3 (Ballard Memorial, Graves County, Mayfield), and
District 4 (Calloway County, Christian Fellowship, Marshall County, Murray). Every team needs a strong setter to lead their offense and help create success.
The first region is often dominated by McCracken County, Christian Fellowship, and Graves County. However, as the top 3 programs of 2019 graduate senior setters there is an opportunity for change in Region 1. This article highlights the strong returning setters of the region who are ready to challenge the top programs and make a run at the Region 1 Title.
Morgan Blankenship (2021), Ballard Memorial (District 3) : Blankenship is the leading setter for Ballard Memorial; She was the starting setter of their 6-2 offensive system. She totaled 453 assists and 89 aces (the most of the program) during her Junior Campaign. She also was a defensive strong hold with 222 digs from the right back position. Blankenship returns for her senior season in 2020.
Ciara Bradley (2021), Marshall County (District 4): Bradley led Marshall County with 379 assists and 52 aces. She was also third on the teams for digs (172). Bradley will return to Marshall Count in 2020 with hopes of earning the District 4th title.
Natalie Lansden (2021), Paducah Tilghman (District 2): Lansden ran a seamless 5-1 offense in 2019 for the Blue Tornados’. She controlled the offense with 609 assists. Lansden also contributed to earned points with 81 service aces. She will return in 2020 as a Senior.
Isabella Myers Isabella Myers 5'11" | S Ballard Memorial | 2022 State KY (2022), Ballard Memorial (District 3): Meyers is the second setter of Bombers 6-2 offensive setter. The Sophomore was a strong partner of Junior Morgan Blankenship in 2019, totaling 242 assists. Meyers is a triple threat; she lead both the bombers offense and defense. She earned 542 kills and 543 digs respectively. She was awarded to the All-State Honorable Mention list in 2019.
