As the number of views increased on her HUDL highlights, Ella knew coaches were watching, and waiting… Ella received her first text at 9:00 a.m. while on family vacation! And then the craziness started with schools contacting her from the following conferences: Big East, Mountain West, American Athletic, American East, MIAA, Summit, CCIW, and Horizon. No schools to mention as front runners yet. They will need to schedule some more vacations after July 31!

HUDL Highlights (Coaches, a good conversation piece would be to ask about the final block in this video!)
For those that haven’t heard the LeGrand name in the volleyball world, Ava’s two older sisters played Division 1 volleyball as did her cousins, the Ailes. You can Google them on your own because it is Ava’s time to shine!!!
With texts and emails starting at midnight, Ava started setting up phone and zoom calls with many schools including, but not limited to, two in the SEC, Big 12, and B10. Most schools discuss the setting role with Ava, but one did ask if she would be open to other positions. Ava wants to find a program that is ready for her to play within the first two years. And, at her sister’s recommendation, a program that she relates well with the coaches, staff, and other players. She plans to earn a Business Degree and work with real estate.

MYA LARSON | 5’11 | Wahoo High School | VCNebraska | Pin Hitter
Mya started hearing from coaches in the middle of the night with emails and text messages that led to setting up phone calls throughout the week. She’s heard from about 30 schools with some in the Mountain West, B10, West Coast, Summit League, Ivy League, Big Sky, USA, and Big East.
SHAYLEE MYERS | 6′ | Lincoln Southwest High School | Premier | Pin Hitter ( Shaylee Myers Shaylee Myers 6'0" | OH Lincoln Southwest | 2022 State #199 Nation NE pictured above)
The list goes on and on for Shaylee, who’s mom Natalie is a fellow PrepDig.com contributor. I believe mom has been just as anxious and excited as daughter 😉
Shaylee decided that she wanted to play volleyball in college when she started playing with Premier in 8th grade after watching the older players commit to programs. Shaylee has communicated with fellow Premier players that are receiving lots of calls too!!
With the emails starting in the wee hours of the morning, Shaylee has been contacted by over 30 schools in 18 different conferences: West Coast Conference, Big 12, B10, Big East, Mountain West, Atlantic Coast, Missouri Valley, Big South, American Athletic, Southeastern, Summit, Big West, Ivy, Big South, Conference USA, Big Sky, Mid-American, Northern Sun, and Horizon League. A few came as a very pleasant surprise! Shaylee has some favorites but plans to arrange some campus visits first.
We’ll be watching and waiting young ladies!!! Congrats on your recruiting!!!
Get those visits scheduled!!
