Kelsey Brangers Kelsey Brangers DS/L Central Hardin | 2021 State KY – A future senior for Central Hardin, Kelsey Brangers Kelsey Brangers DS/L Central Hardin | 2021 State KY is one of the top defensive players in the state, let alone the region. She is one of those strong, determined players that leads her team by example. You can find her all over the floor because of her knowledge of the game and incredible reading ability. Plus, her platform is just every coaches dream. She tallied up 561 digs in her junior year with a 4.64 digging average. Brangers is committed to Western Kentucky University, and she will be extremely fun to watch in her last year for the Lady Bruins!
Presley Payne- This girl is one of those libero’s that makes herself known because of her extraordinary hustle and pursuit. Presley Payne will be a senior at Elizabethtown, and it’s almost like she has a motor somewhere because of how fast she can run down a ball. Playing middle back, Payne is a great asset to the team because of her quick reaction time. She had 366 digs in her junior career with a 3.27 dig average. Presley is uncommitted as of now, so keep an eye out for this defensive machine!!
Katie Floyd- Entering her junior year for Taylor County, Katie Floyd shows her defensive skills in the setter position. Yes, setters can also be defensive machines! Floyd had 361 digs with a 3.14 dig average which ranked second for her team behind their senior libero. She also racked up 1,010 assists in just her sophomore year!! This class of 2022 recruit has big things in store for her as a setter and defensive specialist!
Maggie Overstreet- A 5 foot senior to be, Maggie Overstreet leads her team from the libero position. She had 403 digs with a 3.77 digging average. Overstreet may be small but her defensive skills create a big impact for the team. She also plays varsity softball, so she is extremely versatile and athletic! Marion County’s Lady Knights finished 4th in their region, and Maggie was definitely a big asset for their success.
