The Three Stars of the Game
MH, Tana Hayworth, 5’8”– Hayworth, a junior, is a two-way player. She was solid in the match against Chase from the front and back rows. She had 19 digs and three kills. Hayworth is a solid JUCO recruit.
OH, Dawson O’Bannon, 5’6”,– O’Bannon, a junior, played an outside hitter and as a setter in Lincoln’s rotations. Her future after high school is more likely to be as a hitter. She 12 digs and six kills against the Kats.
MH, Avery Obermueller, 5’6”– The best prospect from Lincoln is the sophomore Obermueller. She has a volleyball frame and long reach. The sophomore led the Leopards with 10 kills and added 10 digs. She is a raw, young talent that could top out as a DII recruit. She has plenty of room for improvement as she is long and can jump.
Future Stocks
Another sophomore to keep an eye on down the road is Lilly Sinclair. Sinclair hustles and communicates well. She had eight digs and one kill against Chase.
Lincoln lost the nightcap to Lakeside in a 20-25, 25-22,8-25 three-set loss to the Knights.
