Tazmin Appiah – 5’10 | MB | Orange
Perhaps undersized as a middle for most bigger programs, Appiah makes up for it with her athleticism. She has great quickness around the floor and maximizes her tools well on both sides of the ball. She is very engaged throughout the point to get off the net fast in transition make herself available and also on the defensive side in reading the opponent to get herself in the best position to put up a block. She jumps well and when on balance uses a great arm to create some power and movement in her swing location.
Riley Kindall – 5’11 | OH | Westerville Central
Kindall is aggressive in the air and can challenge the defense well at the net. She shows above average elevation and has vision and arm control that can move the ball around when needed. She increases her ability to score and create more range with increased balance in the air. She maximizes her contact point if she can consistently get her left arm up and out in front, which also will decrease the amount of force and impact she puts on her left side when landing.
Ellen Kinnaird – 5’11 | MH | Oletangy
Kinnaird helped guide her squad to a division crown in 2020. She is a dynamic athlete with good quickness and elevation in pursuit of the ball when attacking. She can create good heat with a fast arm and her aggressive approach patterns make her difficult to read when she decides to use an off speed option. She looks very comfortable overhead off of one foot as she reads the play development well to start slow and increase the needed momentum to elevate, drive, and swing with power.
Kendall Monnin – 5’4 | DS/L | Russia
Monnin’s leadership and play in the back row helped the Raiders advance to a regional final in 2020 where they ended their season with a 22-5 overall record. She provided stability in their serve receive and defense as she creates a good base that allows her to react effectively and with good platform angles. She uses her vision well to see the ball early and does not waste much movement in pursuit of the ball. She has good quickness and covers the court well, which led to her collecting an average of 16+ digs per match.
Carly O’Rourke – 5’11 | RS/MH | Turpin
Playing in a reserve role for Turpin, O’Rourke has skills to terminate and defend on the right side of the floor. She was also utilized in the middle where she showed ability to swing for points through in-system quick offense. Her ability to terminate with more consistency going forward will increase as she improves her approach footwork to get her feet to the ball and using her arms to elevate and create balance in the air. Look for her this upcoming club season with NKYVC.
