Ashley Reynolds is an extremely talented, left-handed setter for the Venetian Bay 17 Emerald team. At the MLK Showcase, Ashley’s team placed 2nd in the 17 Open Division, which was largely due to her offensive skills as the setter. Despite her age, she is equipped with the skills to effectively run a competitive offense through her spot-on quick-sets, awareness of opposing defenders, and ability to hit and dump on the second contact. She can cleanly tap, set, or spike the ball just over the net both confusing and frustrating the opposing blockers. For the last two seasons, Ashley has played on Venice High’s varsity team. In 117 sets, she has scored 30 aces, 171 kills and completed 108 digs and 54 blocks. Ashley is a tough competitor and already is making a big impact on her team as only a sophomore.
Kendall Kudla – 5’8” – S – Class of 2023 – OT 16 T Chad
Kendall Kudla is a fantastic setter for OTVA’s club team OT 16T Chad. Kendall can be credited as one of the biggest reasons for her team placing 2nd in the 16 Open division at the MLK Showcase. Although she is only a sophomore, her skills are developed beyond that of her peers. As a well-developed setter, Kendall is capable of setting any type of attack on the court and has the wisdom to run a proper offense; knows when to run a stack out of the middle or push it high to the pin. In addition to her talent on offense, Kendall plays defense and coverage like a defensive specialist, not a typical setter.
Tatum Pope – 5’3” – DS, L – Class of 2023 – OT 16 T Robin
Tatum Pope is a defensive specialist for OTVA’s club team OT 16T Robin, which placed 3rd in the 16 Open division at the MLK Showcase. Tatum has experience in all back row defensive positions in addition to playing as the libero for her club and high school varsity team. At Sickles High, Tatum has played in 77 sets in the last two seasons on the varsity team and completed 251 serve receptions, 271 digs, and 91 aces. She has solid court awareness and can make seemingly impossible balls playable.
