We will also highlight the players who made their way into the rankings and entered with a strong statement. We will look forward to adding an additional 25 players to our December update!
Janelle Green Janelle Green 5'9" | S Blue Valley North | 2024 State #68 Nation KS – S – Blue Valley North/KC Power – 13 >4
Green stood out among the setters in the class of 2024 not just in the state but in the country. She is really good! Her ability to put her hitters in a position to be effective was on display this spring. She is an aggressive setter and will score on two when the defense is relaxed. She is primed for a big year with the Mustangs.
Camdyn Stucky Camdyn Stucky 6'1" | S Maize South | 2024 State #97 Nation KS – S – Wichita Northwest/Shockwave – NEW
It doesn’t take long in a match to see the difference-maker Stucky is on the court. At over 6 feet, she looks and plays the part! She was a critical piece to the strong season Shockwave had this spring in a strong Heart of America 15 age group. Her height is an asset offensively as a scorer and defensively as a blocker.
Ryan McAleer Ryan McAleer 5'5" | DS/L Blue Valley | 2024 State #29 Nation KS – L – Blue Valley/ Dynasty – NEW
Though missing from the original rankings by our previous scouts, there is no doubt she is the best libero we saw in this age division this year. Many will look at the scoring along the front line for the National Champion Dynasty 15 Black team, but the business starts with the play of McAleer. Gutsy and consistent are two words that come to mind when she’s in action.
Heidi Devers Heidi Devers 5'4" | DS/L St. James | 2024 State KS – L – St. James/ Dynasty – NEW
Could you imagine Devers and the before-mentioned McAleer in the same backcourt? Technically it could be possible since Devers plays up an age. This must be why she was left out of the original rankings because like McAleer, she has it! She plays up on the Dynasty 16 team and was the catalyst in their receiving game and defense. She is quick and displays a great platform.
Alea Goolsby Alea Goolsby 5'10" | OH KS – OH – KC Power – NEW
When Goolsby was on the court this year she showed she is one of the top players in the state. She entered the season coming off a knee injury. During the season we saw she missed some time in the tournaments but don’t want to speculate. However, she is still one of the top young prospects in this class. She brings a fiery attitude to the pins and brings force behind her swings. She is an elite scorer and another play who will get better defensively.
