Callie Sutton | Bunker
She is currently sitting in the top spot for assists by a newcomer with 339 and helping Bunker to a 12-5-1 record. With a season-high of 37 in a 2-3 loss to Ellington, Callie does her part to give her big hitters the ball.
Ella Keevan | Marquette
This dynamo is currently 2nd in the state for assists by a freshman with 306. The silky-smooth setter runs a 5-1 for the 13-2 Mustangs and feeds her high-powered offense to perfection. With a sweet setter’s dump that catches the defense napping on her or finding her dominant middles, Keevan has the tools for a setter older than her age.
Clare Carroll | Whitfield
St. Louis has freshmen all over the place making huge impacts for their teams, and Clare Carroll is one of them. With a season-high 40 in a sweep of Parkway North and put down seven kills. Excellent hands that see the defense well with a sneaky setter’s dump.
Katelyn Diani-O’Day | Lutheran St. Peters
Katelyn has been in a couple of other articles, but this freshman is making a massive impact on the Cougars. With her left-handed setter dump that finds the floor on the campfire defense to her lovely jump sets to the middle, the soft hands make her stand out. Give her a couple more years, and she’ll become a high-level recruit.
PJ Reutzel | Fredericktown
PJ does a little bit of everything for the undefeated Blackcats. The 5’7 freshman has the Blackcats off to their best start in years at 14-0-1. With her running a 6-2 offense, she’s the top assist maker and is 3rd on the team in kills and digs.
