This week was predicated on tournaments as there were multiple major tournaments that technically did not effect a teams record but saw the best play the best. So it’s time to release a new edition of the Prep Dig Power Rankings. And this week was where teams at the top held serve and remained in the top 10 but the order is different. So who are the new squads that have entered the list? Let’s take a closer look.
- Immaculate Heart
- East Brunswick
- Demarest
- Sparta
- Bogota
- North Hunterdon
- Williamstown
- Hudson Catholic
- Northern Highlands
- Roxbury
The Top 10 remain the same but the order did change as we saw Sparta and Demarest climb up the rankings this week.
Demarest was something special this week as they participated in a loaded Northern Valley Invitational Tournament. They took down some of the best in the state in convincing fashion: Verona, Ridgewood, Roxbury and Williamstown. It may not have been an official match record-wise but they passed the eye-test and rose in the rankings.
Another team was Sparta that I thought was going to eventually fall off after this remarkable start. They only continue to get better and be more dominant with another perfect week. They even have a victory over Roxbury as well. The team has a test this week as they play Mendham who is the only squad to take a set from Sparta.
