Teams had to battle to make it through Sectionals. Despite all this, there are some incredibly talented 2025s playing with maturity and grit among the best in the state.
There is a lot of talent in the class of 2025 and that is evident not only in play across the state throughout the season but also in the athletes who will make their first (and hopefully not last!) run for the state title.
Here are some 2025s headed to their first state tournament.
Ashley Hutter – Libero – Pewaukee
Ashley Hutter has stepped into the role of starting libero seamlessly. She is gritty and fast on the court and rarely makes errors. She has 79 aces, 579 digs, and 740 service receptions. Ashley has played every single set for the Pirates this season and is a very high-level athlete. She is level-headed on the court and has awesome ball control.
Kaylen DiBrito – Outside Hitter – Pewaukee
Kaylen has a big jump and fast arm swing. She has really ramped up into being an essential part of this Pirate offense. Her passion and energy on the court was evident in their Sectional Final match up where Kaylen recorded 10 kills, 3 aces, 9 digs, and 14 service receptions. She was reliable on the pin and in the back row.
Campbell Onell – Middle Hitter – Luxemburg-Casco
Campbell is valuable to this team across the court. She is fast, explosive, and hard to read. Campbell has played nearly every set this season and has definitely earned it. She brings a lot of fire to the court and makes amazing plays that are nearly impossible to defend. Every time she steps on the court she has a positive impact on this team. She had 7 kills and only 1 error in the Spartans Sectional Final match.
Karli Molnau – Middle Hitter – Lake Country Lutheran
Karli has been explosive out of the middle for LCL. She has 199 kills this season and a 0.285 hitting percentage. She is fast, dynamic, and consistent running balls both in front of and behind the setter. Karli adds an extra layer of power to this talented team. She has a fast snap and is great at finding the corner and seams between defenders with her hits.
Kelsy Grant – Setter/Right Side – Monticello
Kelsy has played every set for this team and has been highly impactful. She has great hands and is a leader on the court. Kelsy has 430 assists, 44 aces, and 74 kills going into the state tournament.
Alli Albrecht – Middle Hitter – Wabeno-Laona
Alli has nearly 200 kills this season and sees regular court time for this team. They had a huge win in their sectional final. Alli has been instrumental in their success so far this season and is an asset to this program.
