Here are three 2023 First Team All-State outside hitters to watch.
Addie Atcher is a 5-11 junior outside hitter from Central Hardin High School. A longtime leader for Central Hardin, Atcher is agile, possesses solid jumping ability and adjusts to sets coming from any location routinely. Atcher can deliver as a go-to hitter from both the front row and the back row.
Sydney Helmers Sydney Helmers 6'4" | OH Assumption | 2023 #35 Nation KY is a 6-4 junior outside hitter from Assumption High School. Helmers, who is one of the tallest high school volleyball players in the state, uses her length at the net and thrives both offensively and defensively. A productive blocker, Helmers is athletic and excels from the left side of the net.
Ava Jackson Ava Jackson OH Dunbar | 2023 State #163 Nation KY is a 5-11 junior outside hitter from Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Jackson possesses solid back row skills and completes attack hits from the left side of the net regularly. Able to read opposing defenses successfully, Jackson also works well with the middle hitter on blocks.
