Continue ReadingWe have been watching the 2023 class very closely throughout the entire high school season and used the data of wins and losses, stats, district finishes, awards, in person tournaments, matches and of course the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up the rankings.
Jenna Houk Jenna Houk 5'9" | OH Deer Creek | 2023 State OK [2023] 5-9 Outside (HS: Deer Creek/Club: Oklahoma Peak Performance/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jenna has moved up the State Rankings and is now ranked as our 7th best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She moved up nine spots from when we rolled out the rankings. She plays for Deer Creek HS and also club for Oklahoma Peak Performance. We profiled her twice now and here is a little refresher on what we stated, “Miss Houk is electric on the left side pin as she is very bouncy and gets off of the ground very quickly. She hits the ball with a lot of authority when she is able to turn on the ball and paint the line. It is this kind of vision that will keep her at the top of the list as she is able to see the block in front of her and score efficiently. I love her athleticism at the position. You can see her amazing body control in every aspect of the game. Although she might be a little undersized at the position, she doesn’t play like it at all. She is a great example for any young player that might be a little undersized that wants to play at a high level. We are excited to have her in our Prep Dig Family and look forward to watching her junior season. She played amazing on both ends of the court this season. I got to watch her in person at the Bishop McGuinness tournament earlier this year and she played lights out. Her offense is something to be admired but her defense steals the show. She could easily be a libero on a college team or a front row attacker. Her play this season led Deer Creek to a 23-8 overall record and a birth in the State Tournament where they lost to the eventual State Champion Jenks. Please help us congratulate her on achieving 1st Team All-State.” Jenna’s star is on the rise and after watching her in person, I am a firm believer that she can help a college team be more dynamic. Her offense is stellar and she has the ball control to help a team stay in system during serve receive. Give this young lady a look or two and you wont be disappointed. In the meantime, help us congratulate her on moving up into the top ten of the State Rankings.
Emily Boyer Emily Boyer 5'11" | S Carl Albert | 2023 State OK [2023] 5-11 Setter (HS: Carl Albert/Club: Oklahoma Peak Performance/Verbal: Uncommitted)
We are proud to announce that Miss Boyer has moved up the State Rankings. Emily is now ranked as our 11th best overall prospect and the 3rd best setter in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is the floor general for Carl Albert High School and plays for one of the best club programs in the state in Oklahoma Peak Performance. We profiled her a few times this year and here is a little refresher on her, “Miss Boyer has the size and frame to attract a lot of colleges, but she has the game to make them stay and watch. We have her ranked high due to the fact that she can literally do it all on the court. She is a setter and hitter for her programs and does everything at a very high level. I love her hands as they are very smooth during and after contact. It truly helps her release to be extremely consistent. She is able to deliver such a great quick tempo and then a fantastic higher ball to her pins consistently. She should have a great junior season for Carl Albert and we will be watching closely. We are excited to have her in the Oklahoma Prep Dig State Rankings. I was able to watch her in person as she dominated on the court and she is a sight to see. Her overall play on the court shows in every aspect of the game. She means a lot to the offense of Carl Albert as she is either distributing the ball to their awesome hitters or she is the one putting the ball away on the pins. Emily was instrumental in getting Carl Albert all the way to the 5A State Championship match. We are proud to announce that she is the recipient of our inaugural All-State award. Please congratulate her on receiving 1st Team All-State.” Her play during the school season has shown us that she is very deserving of moving up the list. I truly love how she plays the game and it is infectious to her teammates. Please help us congratulate her on the amazing achievement of being named one of the best players in the Sooner State.
Brynn Roberts Brynn Roberts 5'9" | S Jenks | 2023 State OK [2023] 5-9 Setter (HS: Jenks/Club: Club ONE/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Miss Roberts has moved up the rankings. Brynn is now ranked as our 12th best overall prospect and 4th best setter in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Jenks High School and also club volleyball for the Club ONE program. We profiled her earlier this year and stated the following, “She has great size and utilizes it well in every position she plays. We love how versatile she is as she is able to hit front row and set for any team she plays for. She contacts the ball high and uses a very quick release to push the ball to her hitters with ease. She jump sets her middles and is able to set every location on the middle route tree accurately. She is a very athletic and skilled scorer while setting from the front row as she loves to go over on two with power. Brynn is a very active defender and can really help a team in many aspects. We are proud to have her in the Rankings and look forward to covering her. Please help us congratulate her on being one of the top players in the State of Oklahoma. Brynn helped lead Jenks to a wonderful season again. They were able to win the Oklahoma 6A State Championship. She was amazing in the state tourney according to our scout Derek Jackson as he watched in person. We are proud to announce that she is the recipient of one of our inaugural All-State awards due to her play. Please congratulate her on receiving 2nd Team All-State.” Her play this season is why she earned the All-State award. The sign of a great player is what they do when the chips are stacked against them against a formidable opponent and Brynn showed that in the State Title match as she showed great perseverance to win. We are proud to announce that she moved up. Please help us congratulate her on moving up the State Rankings.
