We will be highlighting a few of the players that showcased their skill-sets in Kansas City. Ultimate Performance Volleyball 15 Open was extremely competitive against the competition from across the US. Here are a few of the players that stood out while I watched.
Milee Jackson [2025] 5-6 Libero (HS: Bishop Kelley/Club: UPVBC/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Milee Jackson played varsity as a freshman for Bishop Kelley high school and also cluh for Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club. She is a fantastic defender who truly uses great court vision to see the paly almost before it happens. Milee does a great job of staying balanced on the court with amazing footwork. This is the pinnacle of what great defenders do in order to deliver quality touches to their setter. She played a lot of great defense in school but can be used all over the court for club. Great defense is the cornerstone of any great team and Miss Jackson does this for UPVBC 15 Open. She also has a strong serve that was used to score many aces and keep teams off balance.
Jaya Tarver [2025] 5-11 Middle/Outside (HS: Holland Hall/Club: Ultimate Performance Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Jaya is a phenomenal prospect who plays at Holland Hall and also for Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club. She is a two-sport star at Holland Hall who excels at both basketball and volleyball. She is able to showcase her athleticism shooting three pointers or blocking opposing hitters with ease. She has tons of power and can fly on the court. We are going to really be watching her play throughout her career because we think she has tons of untapped potential. She is tall and can jump which can be a deadly combination for her opponents. UPVBC has a really good one in Miss Tarver and we are glad to bring her name to the forefront of club volleyball.
Brenna Weaver [2025] 5-9 Setter/Right Side (HS: Washington/Club: Ultimate Performance Volleyball/Verbal: Uncommitted)
She is a fantastic setter/hitter for Booker T Washington high school and also for Ultimate Performance Volleyball Club. The ball comes out of her hands so cleanly and she has a bright future. I really like how she moves on the court in either position that she is able to play. She will be a great player for Booker T Washington as she already has made her mark leading them in kills at times. Most players at this age can only do one thing on the court, but Miss Weaver is someone who excels at both setting and hitting. She will be one to watch for the future for sure. We will keep our eye on her as we think she has a really high ceiling in the sport.
