Aubreigh Oswald Aubreigh Oswald 6'2" | MB Lowell | 2023 State MI , FaR Out 17 Black
Oswald was very imposing at the net. She was a real force with her blocking, finishing a number of points with her defensive effort. Offensively, Oswald has great footwork to hit multiple attack angles and deliver a spike with great velocity. A knee injury hampered her sophomore year, but she’s really hitting another gear in 2022.
Morgann King, AVBC 17 Elite
King was a really relentless player at the net. I loved the effort she played with, as she tried to get her hands on every opposing attack and was staying very light on her feet. That paid off a number of times for her team. Offensively, she put forth the same effort and had some nice highlight-reel finishes.
Marlee Rojeski, Michigan Elite 17 National East
Rojeski didn’t have the same size as some of her competitors in the middle, but she really had a lot of lift on her jumps. She still played well above the net and had a technically smooth swing. Rojeski played with a chip on her shoulder and let her athleticism do the talking.
Faith Sibert, Passion 17
Sibert is very long and has a high ceiling as she continues to develop new skills. Opposing teams were definitely looking to avoid her, as her length and jumping ability covered a lot of ground. She won more battles than she lost when putting her block up again opposing attacks. As she’s able to raise her offensive ability up to her defense, she can be a real impact player.
Kara Bigelow, Michigan Elite 17 National West
Like a lot of her teammates, Bigelow was a strong effort player for Michigan Elite. She’s already got good length for the position and is able to get her hands on a lot of attacks. But, mix in her effort level, and she’s coming through with tough digs and tips. Offensively, she’s a strong finisher that can attack from different angles.
Adrienne Staib, HPVBA 17-1
Staib was someone you could notice pretty quickly because she was working all over the court. At 6’1”, Staib was a problem for opposing hitters and also a forceful attacker on offense. She had strong form and generated a lot of power on her swings.
Brooke Hodgins, Unified 17-Blue
Unified had some struggles during the weekend, but she was a highlight for the squad. She used her size and length well and combined that with a high motor to make plays on both offense and defense. Hodgins was definitely doing her part to catch some eyes.
