Looking forward to watching them play in the 16 Premier division this weekend, starting tomorrow afternoon on courts 42 and 43.
’24, Nora Rains Nora Rains 6'1" | RS North Central | 2024 State IN , 6-1 Pin, North Central
Although she’s listed as a middle AND a pin attacker on TI’s website, I’m projecting Nora to be a pin attacker only, especially because of her long transition and even longer arms to go over smaller blocks on either pin. Versatile, fluid and raw athleticism define Miss Rains, and should guide her well as she gets stronger in her upper body. You can’t teach size, and Nora has plenty of that.
’24, Amanda Evers Amanda Evers 6'0" | S Zionsville | 2024 State IN , 6-0 RS/S, Zionsville
I’ve seen Amanda attack, and I’ve seen her set. I’ve even seen her take a few balls on the left pin as well, making her the second-straight multi positional player on this roster. More refined than Miss Rains listed above, Amanda can do a ton of things shorter setters can’t, and can attack and block like a normal right side. Pick your poison at your own risk, opponents.
’24, Elaina Hendrix Elaina Hendrix 5'9" | OH Noblesville | 2024 State IN , 5-9 OH, Noblesville
A primary-passing, six-rotation outside is what you’re getting from Elaina. Her ability to hit every shot in the book makes her a prime O2 at any level—the ball-control first, with minimal errors in the attack. I am guessing she’s played some outdoor ball as well, considering those calculated shots I keep seeing her terminate with.
’24, Ashleigh Riley, 5-8 OH/RS, North Putnam
In high school, Ashleigh is EASILY the most aggressive and club-trained kid, so all I saw from her at North Put is her hitting in the middle. That being said, she projects to be a three-rotation pin attacker at the next level, and despite her size, can hit over, around and through any block thrown at her. I’d like to see more ball control from her, so hopefully I get a little of that this weekend.
’24, Bella Maynard, 5-7 S, Harrison
This young lady drives over an hour one way from Lafayette to the east side of Indianapolis for practice, showing the kind of determination and resiliency needed to play at the next level. She’s more than capable of running a 5-1 at smaller schools or a modified 6-2 in a larger program in college, which this particular roster can do.
