18 Open
Rockwood Thunder 18 Elite out of the Gateway Region and Pohaku 18-1 from the Heart of America are paired up as the top two seeds in Pool 4 on court 49 when the action kicks off today. Rockwood will be led by big-time middle Vanessa Polk Vanessa Polk 6'2" | MB John Burroughs | 2022 State #59 Nation MO and Madilyn Sell Madilyn Sell 6'2" | MB Marquette | 2022 State #91 Nation MO . Pohaku is looking up to upgrade their bid after having already collected a National Division bid from regional competition. Brooke Leiker Brooke Leiker 6'0" | OH Blue Valley West | 2022 State KS continues to play well in her final run.
Adidas Dynasty 18 Black is the top seed in Pool 5 and has already locked up an Open Bid. They will depend on Addison Beagle Addison Beagle 5'9" | S Liberty North | 2022 State MO to continue to lead the offense from the setter position. KC Power 18-1 is the second seed in Pool 6 and will look to finish top 2 in today’s action to stay in the hunt for an open bid. Lauren Schutter Lauren Schutter 6'2" | MB Wabaunsee | 2022 State KS just recently switched her college choice to Michigan State, so we will see if that elevates her play this weekend.
PVA 18 Elite rounds out the teams in the bi-state area and they are atop their pool as they are another team already comfortable heading into the weekend with an open bid in hand. Taylor Roberts Taylor Roberts 5'10" | RS Mill Valley | 2022 State KS is a recent commit to Prairie View A&M, a historic Historically Black College and University in Texas.
18 USA
HPSTL 18 Royal looks to snatch one of the three available USA bids this weekend starting from Pool 7 as the top seed. Hayley Baliva Hayley Baliva 6'0" | RS St. Joseph's Academy | 2022 State MO , Breanna Schreimann Breanna Schreimann 5'8" | OH St. Dominic | 2022 State MO , and Anna Sommer Anna Sommer 6'1" | MB Parkway South | 2022 State MO will all be counted on for big play. From the Wichita area, Fight Club 18-1 will look to have a strong showing from Pool 9, where they will start as the second seed. Abigail Rose and Maliyah Johnson Maliyah Johnson 5'8" | OH Hutchinson | 2023 State KS are players needing to have a strong weekend to keep the team in contention for a bid.
417 Juniors 18-1 come into the weekend holding an American Bid and hopes to upgrade as the top team in Pool in Pool 14. Sydney Golden Sydney Golden 5'9" | S Nixa | 2022 State MO continues to display why she is a top talent in the setting position.
18 Liberty
PVA 18 National, Invasion 18-1, and Mavs 816 18-1 are all teams in the Liberty Division looking to upgrade their current National bids heading into the weekend. PVA holds an American Bid, along with Invasion who won theirs from a qualifier championship. Abigail Cooper ( PVA ) Alexis Nunn Alexis Nunn 5'5" | DS/L Lee's Summit North | 2022 State MO (Invasion) has been strong this winter for their teams. Mavs look to jump up from the Freedom Bid they currently hold. Lacey Higgins Lacey Higgins 5'9" | S Lee's Summit West | 2022 State MO continues to show why she’s a top Kansas City setter in her class.
417 Columbia 18-1 will be the top team in Pool 9 on day 1. Kennedy Flanner Kennedy Flanner 5'9" | OH Blair Oaks | 2022 State MO and Jerica Jackson Jerica Jackson 5'11" | OH Hickman | 2022 State MO will look to lead the team to a bid. HPSTL 18 Orange will team up with Invasion in pool play and count on Finley Burns Finley Burns 5'5" | DS/L Marquette | 2022 State MO and Elle Mead.
H2 STL 18 Under Armour from the Gateway Region will be the final team from Missouri in action in the Liberty. Katie Huster will be a player to keep an eye on.

A host of teams from the bi-state area will look to grab the lone bid in the American Division
