’25, Bella Dafforn Bella Dafforn 5'4" | DS/L Lawrence North | 2025 State IN , 5-5 L/DS, Lawrence North
Already seeing time on varsity this past fall, Bella should be wearing the special jersey moving forward during her high school and club careers. Her first contacts are very consistent and, with a quiet upper body, very reliable. She pursues better than most in this class, and is already accustomed to fast ball due to her high level of play this past fall. As Bella goes, so goes this team, who should make enough waves to hopefully crack the AM wave on Saturday.
’25, Alexa Green, 5-8 S, Zionsville
I’ve been criticized in the past by not writing about setters. As a former setter myself, you need to do something extra special to catch my eye, which (admittedly) might be a bit tough. Insert Alexa here. The 5-1 offense she runs is high-level stuff, her sets are always to the right hitter in the right situation, and her connections with those hitters has come early and often. I’m a big fan of her upper body strength, as it takes very little effort on her part to get to any and all passes.
’25, Sadie Poeck, 5-11 MB/Pin, Zionsville
The definition of an M2 if there ever was one, Sadie is long and lean and makes some blocks irrelevant because of both her jumping ability as well as her attack touch. A high-energy player, Miss Poeck can also attack from behind the setter, even though her strength is on two-footed attacks. I list “pin” here because she might also project to being a right side at the next level. Stay tuned.
’25, Skylar Kritzmire Skylar Kritzmire 5'10" | OH Roncalli | 2025 State IN , 5-8 OH/DS, Roncalli
Skylar is the six-rotation outside most teams covet at the next level. I’m listing both positions in her profile because of her exceptional balance between her attack and her defense. Of course, she’s a Roncalli kid, so ball control goes without saying. Calm, cool and collected, Skylar is a side-out machine when in system and can make smart shots when out of system.
