’25, Chloe Macias, 6-0 MB, Noblesville
From time to time, big and/or tall middles make a great play and everyone goes nuts. Chloe makes a habit of making great plays, and has the speed and athleticism to boot. At present, she projects to being an M2 at the next level, with her termination of 31s being her personal highlight. Her length and strength also make her adept on the defensive side. She’s even finding ways to score points from behind the service line.
’25, Kendall Brookbank Kendall Brookbank 5'9" | OH Perry Meridian | 2025 State IN , 5-7 OH, Perry Meridian
Don’t let her size fool you. Kendall has the ability to go over, around and through blocks on a regular basis from either pin. She showed off some of that skill in Louisville this past weekend, and will look to bring that heavy arm to Saint Louis this weekend.
’25, Ava Whitmore, 5-6 S, Mt. Vernon
Ava, silly as she is, gets serious about her craft once the whistle blows. Her accuracy for multiple hitters in multiple tempi make her marketable for the next level as either a three-rotation setter or possibly a 5-1 setter at a smaller school. I like that she also plays above-average defense for her position and graduating class, and is already knowledgeable about who gets what set when. She gets the game, and she’s only going to get better.
’25, Reese Edwards Reese Edwards 5'6" | S Columbus North | 2025 State IN , 5-6 S, Columbus North
The “other” setter that makes this team go is the faster of the two. She seemingly gets to every out-of-system ball and locates the set well for all hitters. I’d like to see a little more play from her, as I only got a glimpse of her talents for half of one match in Louisville. She’ll have plenty of opportunities this coming weekend in the 15 USA division.
