The Mandalay Bay Convention Center served host to teams from all over the US in this national qualifier. The majority of teams that secured first place in their divisions did so with gusto, with AZ Storm 15 Thunder (15 Open), Viper 15-Costa (15 USA), WAVE 16-Brennan (16 Open), TX Legacy 16-Elite (16 USA), TX United 16 Red (16 Liberty), Madfrog 16 National White (16 American), Coast 17-1 (17 Open), UEPA 17D (17 Liberty) and SoCal VBC 17-Eric (17 American) all securing first place without dropping a match. Norcal Black 17-1 also secured first in their division (17 USA) going 17-1.

, 5’11” Libero, Coast 17-1
It’s hard for attackers to find open court when this libero is on the floor. She reads and moves well, has a nice stable platform, covers a lot of ground, and saves balls all over the court. Her defense was key in the final match against Drive Nation 17-Red, which is one of only two matches that Coast had to go to three sets.

, 6’3” Outside Hitter, Coast 17-1
This Outside Hitter does it all for her team. She’s anything but little with great length, standing at about 6’3” but is also fast and coordinated as a 6-rotation attacker. She can hammer a ball, but she also possesses great court vision and shot selection with makes her an incredibly efficient attacker. She is committed to BYU.

, 6’ Outside Hitter, Seal Beach 16 Black
There’s little question why this OH was a Dream Team Player of the Year in high school. She comes from a volleyball family, grew up playing on the beach, and has a great volleyball IQ and court vision. She shows a lot of composure and consistency on the court, which was key in Seal Beach getting to the gold bracket.

, 5’11” Opposite/Setter, Mizuno 16 Rockstar T
This Setter/Opposite really does it all for her team, directing the offense from the back row and attacking in the front row. Another player with an impressive volleyball background and IQ, she was a All-Area Player of the Year and is very competitive and quick. Her set and shot selection are terrific and were instrumental in Mizuno making it to the finals.

, 5’10” Outside Hitter, WAVE 16-Brennan
A 6-rotation OH, she handles serve receive pressure with grace and consistency and is a strong defender that reads situations well. Consistency was the name of the game for Wave as they went undefeated over the weekend, only dropping one set in the entire tournament.
15 Open
Kenna Cogill, 6’4” Middle Blocker, Arizona Storm Elite 15 Thunder
A big blocker with a great vertical, she touches over 10 feet. She is lengthy with a long reach. She puts up a big block and has a quick arm when she attacks. This AZ Storm team has great chemistry, with several players returning from the previous season (that team won 14 Open) and just recently won the Salt Lake City Showdown in the 15 Open.
Quinn Loper, 6’1” Outside Hitter, Tstreet 15-Curtis
A big part of the reason T-street was able to battle their way into the finals. She’s a dual sport athlete (volleyball and basketball) that shows stability under pressure with good foot speed. She reaches and hits high, transitions with ease, and has the ability to be an explosive attacker.
