Day 1 Standouts 16s
Abby Lane – Mintonette Sports m.62
In her game against A2 16 Shamrock, Abby was a literal wall. She had quick reaction at the net and put up a ton of blocks helping her Mintonette team go undefeated on day 1. She played with confidence and helped keep the momentum on her side of the court with her aggressiveness at the net.
Layne Graffice – Nova Juniors 16 Navy
Layne was a dynamic outside that was explosive off the floor and could swing through, over and around most any block. She really got it done for her team on day one and was a go-to player for Nova.
Sydney Smith – AVC CLE Rox 16 Blue
A setter that wasn’t afraid to get on the floor and help out on defense. She was fast and able to get to the ball and put up a hittable set. She played with high energy and was a definite leader for her team.
Hannah Pattie Hannah Pattie 5'7" | S Lake Catholic | 2024 State OH – Maverick 16 Elite
A setter that was key to this team going undefeated on day 1. She was calm and ran a quick offense, giving her hitters great opportunities to score. With a tough serve and great defense, she would be an asset on any team.
Jessica Gutridge – Mintonette Sports m.61
A strong player in the back court, moving well and getting her feet to the ball. She was aggressive and went after everything, helping her team stay in system. She was a positive player on the court and kept her energy high, helping her team keep the momentum on their side of the net.
