Tatum Grimes Tatum Grimes 6'2" | MB St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State #184 Nation KS – 2024 – KC Power 16-1
We know some of our national scouts highlight Grimes recently. I was already planning to write about her from the local perspective. She is a player you want on your side of the net. Defensively, she reads her opponents well and gets herself in position to get a touch or block on a high percentage of balls. Her fast-twitch muscles allow her to get off the floor fast. Offensively she is at her best in front of the setter where she can get a good approach to hammer the ball down.
Cy Rae Campbell Cy Rae Campbell 5'11" | MB Heritage Christian | 2024 State #45 Nation KS – 2024 – Dynasty 17 Black
It was important for us to get eyes on Campbell a few times this club season. We saw what she was able to do during the high school season against smaller schools. The big question mark for us was how that would transition to the club season. This is keeping in mind she plays up an age group. She can flat out ball. She looks good on the slide and quick sets in front of the setter. She is extremely athletic and an above-average blocker. We do wonder sometimes, how dominant would she be in the 16u age group?
Reagan McGivern Reagan McGivern 6'3" | MB Hayden | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Mavs KC 15-1
McGivern is a young player with a ton of potential. She has a great connection with her setter which allows her to find success often. She is money on three balls and makes teams pay if they are a step slow. She also looks good off of one foot when going behind the setter. With her length, she is definitely an asset at the net as evidenced by her blocking ability.
Lauren Roediger Lauren Roediger 6'2" | MB Olathe Northwest | 2024 State KS – 2024 – Mavs KC 16-1
Roediger has been a fun player to watch this spring for Mavs KC 16-1. She has exhibited the ability to score from many spots across the front row. She is effective with quick 3’s and uses the whole court with her shot selection. At times she has also shown she can go off of one foot with an effective slide. Her lateral movement is a big dividend in the blocking department.
